'Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3' Update: Game Is Delayed AGAIN; Reason For Delay Revealed
"Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3" has been postponed for a second time, as developer CI Games officially confirmed today. The title will now be launching worldwide for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 25.
The three-week holdup will allow the company to implement some necessary changes that were inspired by fan feedback after the recent beta test. According to GameSpot, CI Games' CEO Marek Tyminski said that the team is working countless hours creating an entirely whole new Sniper: Ghost Warrior experience set in an excellently crafted open-world new to the series.
"While it's a ruinous decision to postpone the game one last time, we believe these major changes will result in an overall better experience for players worldwide on day one. We are looking forward to making a whole new experience for everyone to enjoy."
"Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3" was supposed to launch on April 4, itself a holdup from the previously intended January release. That postponement was said to be in aid of further refinement of the game. "Ghost Warrior 3" marks a major departure from the previous games, as it shifts to the style of a sandbox-style game and features multiplayer.
More about all of the major changes in the interview with Tyminski can be viewed on the developer's official website, or fans and players can take a look at the game in action with some beta gameplay that is also available on the said website.
According to PC Gamer, a lot of beta testers and player who were given the chance to experience the game has totally enjoyed the latest release in the Ghost Warrior series. Reviewer Brett Todd even called 2013's "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2" a fun sniping experience.
A nonrelated franchise from developer Rebellion Developments' "Sniper Elite" has recently seen its latest release. "Sniper Elite 4," which launched in February, fared well in reviews: critic Richard Wakeling even said that the game series is now finally living up to its long-standing potential.
