IBM Updated Quantum Experience Cloud with new API offers Free Access to Everyone
After IBM become one of the most leading company in a revolution of an artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain ecosystem, the giant tech company is now declaring of its updated Quantum Experience cloud with a new API. The said update will enable users to construct out of simple quantum applications and software programs by using its infrastructure resources.
According to TP, at first, the company decided to jump up the innovation in quantum computing field by making the services available to the public and developer. But in spite, the fact that creating this kind of innovation needs full-scale, massively powerful quantum computers are still difficult to build, yet IBM is attempting to demonstrate with the same capabilities on a small-scale system.
Last May, IBM opened up its 5 qubit PC in its New York state labs to the public along with the basic programming language support into interested parties with a working quantum computing model. This strategy resulted in over 40,000 signups, 200,000 generating executions on the system's, and close to 15 research publications.
TC reported that API permits software engineers to test more theories and lay the preparation to scale up the larger systems. Although it has years away from exploiting the full capabilities of quantum processing, the majority of its designed is intended to launch in the field to get to a point sometime in the future when it operates 50-100 qubit system.
Unlike the traditional computers, quantum computers do not deal with a simple on or off switch. Rather qubits can be in multiple conditions of on/off or some combination. With this, it could not open up ways to solve a problem that is not solvable with the today's PC.
In an official release, the company will also release a 20 qubit simulator on the Quantum Experience model circuits by using quantum technologies. The IBM company is hoping that everyone will be benefited from its free access. The debut is expected to roll out in the first half on 2017.
