CMA Awards 2013 Predictions: Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan Top Contenders for Male Vocalist of the Year?
The CMA Awards' Male Vocalist of the Year features a number of well-known veterans in the industry.
Blake Shelton is well-known for being a judge the hit TV show "The Voice" and has recorded eight albums since 2001. His latest recorded album, "Based on a True Story," was released in 2013.
Eric Church has recorded four albums since 2006: "Sinners Like Me (2006)," "Carolina (2009)," "Chief (2009)" and "Caught in the Act (2013)." He was previously nominated for five CMA Awards in 2012 and won for Album of the Year.
Jason Aldean has recorded five albums since 2005, namely "Wide Open (2009)," "My Kinda Party (2010)" and "Night Train (2012)." He has been nominated for nine CMA Awards since 2007 and has won two. His hit single in 2013 was "When She Says Baby."
Keith Urban is well-known for being the husband of Australian movie star Nicole Kidman, but the artist has a lengthy history as a recording artist. Since 1991, Urban has recorded eight studio albums; his latest, "Fuse," was released in 2013. He has also recorded 15 No.1 singles since 2001, including "But for the Grace of God," "Somebody Like You," "Long Hot Summer" and "Little Bit of Everything."
Luke Bryan is a noted American pop country singer that has recorded four albums since 2007: "I'll Stay Me (2007)," "Doin' My Thing (2009)," "Tailgates and Tanlines (2011)" and "Crash My Party (2013)." He was nominated for the CMA Awards in 2012. He got nods for Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.
Predictions: Luke Bryan seems to be the heavy favorite this year. Saving Country Music and Gold Derby have him as the favorite, while Country Music is Love picks Aldean to win.
