Money can buy you a lot of things, even your Twitter followers. Kendall Jenner reportedly purchased her millions of fans on the popular online social networking service.

Whether she actually wants to gain more popularity or just look more popular, one thing for sure is that the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" reality star is willing to do whatever it takes to get more followers on Twitter.

The 18-year-old currently has approximately 7.99 million fans on Twitter. However, the number does not mean anything as it turns out that Jenner's account is apparently followed by millions of fake accounts, indicting that she may have paid a service to make her look so much more popular.

The names of the aspiring model's Twitter followers were ran through a fakers app on statuspeople.com. The website revealed a shocking result: Around 4.6 million, which is over half of Kendall Jenner's current followers, were either "fake" or inactive.

Then, why does she feel the need to buy her followers? Jenner is in this huge, very competitive celebrity popularity race on Twitter. She is currently ranked at 117, just two steps below Lindsay Lohan.

A source claimed that Kendall Jenner is not the only one who bought Twitter followers; her sisters did the same as well. "Kendall and her sisters have bought a good amount of their followers," the source revealed.

Another source said that the "KUWTK" star may have had a financial incentive to buy social media fans, alleging that she gets paid $1,000 every time she tweets an advertisement for a product: "She knows the more followers she has, the more she'll get paid to tweet."

Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner is reportedly moving out of the Kardashians domain, and she recently spent $1.39 million on a condo in Westwood, Los Angeles. She has taken out a $910,000 mortgage on the extremely luxurious two-bedroom place, which comes with heated swimming pool and wine storage area.
