‘Godzilla’ Update: Animated Film To Partner With Netflix For Worldwide Release
Netflix brought some of the best television series viewers have watched in the better side of the decade. The stream television became a hit channel after their "Stranger Things" and "Narcos" which were all given great criticism. Now, Netflix is taking things east as they try to take a Japanese common monster film, "Godzilla" to their channel and stream it worldwide.
According to IGN, the streaming giant announced that they are taking "Godzilla" globally. The upcoming "Godzilla" film is not the 2014 where Bryan Cranston starred but rather the first ever animated film.
"Godzilla" will make a debut later this year as the Netflix and Polygon Pictures have reached a deal regarding the rights of the film. The anime seduced viewers by saying that the film ensures a look at how the world will be in the future with "Godzilla."
Comic Book reported that the film is directed by Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita which are known for animated films and their screenplay was penned by Gen Urobuchi.
The film could also be a way to promote the recently released "Kong: Skull Island" but that is still hypothetical. It had been announced that there will be a film starring Kong and "Godzilla" in 2020. Nonetheless, the King of Monsters is now in a new platform and maybe in the following years, an animated series is to commence. The film's plot is still vague as both project teams are trying their best to conceal much of the upcoming animated film's details. But there are concept arts that are being released in the Internet to keep viewers and fans updated.
