AMD To Enter The World of Mainstream Gaming With Its Newest Ryzen 5 Processor
AMD has already shown the first lights of the day to its next-gen Zen technology evolved Ryzen range of processors with its Ryzen 7. The graphics card giant now seems to be pledged to bring the budgeted processing masterpieces for the gaming fans. The company just announced the next members of its Ryzen family of processors: Ryzen 5 at a tech event which took place in Beijing, China. Ryzen 5 range is declared to hit the shelves of the stores and marketplaces beginning from April 11, 2017.
According to Forbes, with Ryzen 5, AMD is particularly trying to get into the PC gaming market. Four variants of Ryzen 5 processors have been evolved currently. The most primary variant, the Ryzen 5 1400 X processor comes with 8 threads and 4 cores at 3.2GHz and it has been price tagged at $169 only. The secondary unit, the Ryzen 5 Ryzen 5 1500 X processor is designed with the same cores and threads settings and it will cost around $189. The following version, dubbed as the Ryzen 5 1600, will come with 6 cores and 12 threads at 3.2 GHz and it will be retailed at $219. And, the most higher-end edition of Ryzen 5 will be named as the Ryzen 5 1600 X with the same cores and threads as its predecessor one, at 3.6 GHz.
As per another report by The Venture Beat, the Ryzen 5 processors are based on AMD's newest Zen technology driven architecture, which accounts to be 52% higher in performance than its earlier generation of memory chips. Ryzen 5 Though, many of the players are concerned that with 6 cores, Ryzen 5 will not be able to perform up to their expectations. But experts and tech analysts are claiming that Ryzen's latest lineup will work fine with the majority of high-level games without any issues, as there are only a few games which require 8 core based processors for flawless running.
Besides these, AMD has also equipped its SenseMI Technology as the higher-end processors. All and all the Ryzen 5 range is indicated to be one of the best processors for PC gaming.
