The archaeological treasures of an ancient burial box in Israel are inscribed with the name of Jesus. The Israel's antiquities authority has found about 30 ancient burial boxes that were a common name in the Holy Land of 2,000 years ago.

According to The Financial Express, the Israel authority has opened up vast storeroom for a peek at unearthed artifacts from the time of Jesus. They have found a wealth of material that helps fills out historians understanding of how Jesus may have lived and died.

Israel is considered one of the excavated places on the planet. Israel Antiquity Authority has reported that some 300 digs take place each year, including about 50 foreign expeditions from as far away as the United States and Japan.

The Courier has reported that the 40,000 artifacts are dug up in Israel each year. Historians now know how long it took to travel between cities and villages where Jesus preached, and what those place looked like at the time.

The 5,000-square meter warehouse is scrammed with stacks of ancient jugs and pottery sherds. The Antiquity Authority calls its "Ali Baba cave" of ancient treasures and the officials set up a simple white table with finds from the time of Jesus.

The archaeologists have found well-preserved limestone drinking cups and dishes, that was widely used by the Jews in the Holy Land at the time as part of practice to ensure the rituals purity of the food. The decorated limestone box belongs to the scion of the high priest Caiaphas for the Roman authorities who crucified him.

However, the recent discovery will help archaeologists reconstruct how the man was with his feet and nailed to the sides of the cross. The researcher hopes Jesus may have been crucified in the same manner, unlike the way the crucifixion is depicted in traditional modern art.
