According to screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Zazie Beetz was able to match Ryan Reynolds in her audition for Domino. It has been announced since the first movie that "Deadpool 2" will have Domino and Cable and the latter's casting is promised to be announced soon.

In an interview with IGN, Reese and Wernick revealed that Zazie Beetz's audition for Domino made her the right choice for the role in "Deadpool 2." The screenwriter said that the actress has chemistry and was able to keep up with "Deadpool" actor Ryan Reynolds.

Reese and Wernick added that they now have an easier time writing Domino for "Deadpool 2" with Zazie Beetz in the role. They both approved the casting choice and did not reveal much when asked about what Domino and Cable will be up to in the sequel.

It looks like the actor for Cable in "Deadpool 2" has been picked. Reese revealed in an interview with Screen Rant that they cannot disclose the actor yet. He adds that the role is very important in the sequel. Additionally, his chemistry with Ryan Reynolds has been taken into account as well.

Many actors have been considered for the role of Cable. The screenwriters were asked about the candidates including Pierce Brosnan, David Harbour, Stephen Lang and Russell Crowe. Reese and Wernick did not confirm any of the actors but did say that some of the names were shortlisted for "Deadpool 2."

There is a possibility that Cable's casting announcement for "Deadpool 2" will be shown in Ryan Reynolds' way. The Deadpool actor reportedly had fun officially revealing Zazie Beetz for the role on his Twitter. He used photos of dominos and Zazie Beetz' face superimposed on Domino's comic book face.
