Disney's "Mulan" live action movie will be in November 2018. It has been decided that the movie will not contain any musical numbers or songs unlike the recently released live action remakes from Disney including "Beauty and the Beast." Furthermore, the role of Mulan has been made sure to be passed on to an Asian actress.

There will be no singing and dancing in the "Mulan" live action film, confirms Disney. The Guardian reports that director Niki Caro revealed that the upcoming film will not conform to the recent live action remakes it has released in the past.

Niki Caro adds that the "Mulan" live action movie will have martial arts and the heroine will go on an adventure. The director also confirmed that there will be no singing or any songs incorporated in the film like Disney's cartoon version of the tale.

The "Mulan" live action movie will be based off on the legendary Chinese heroine named Hua Mulan. When she knew that her father was called to enlist in the war against the Huns, she took his place and dressed up as a man to fight against Genghis Khan and his army in China.

Disney has not announced who will play the heroine in the "Mulan" live action movie. The studio has also responded to the calls of fans to give the role to an Asian actress and has been putting out casting calls for Chinese actors for the film, according to The Sun.

"Whitewashing" has been an issue in Hollywood movies and with the "Mulan" live action movie being based off on a Chinese tale, fans want Asian actors to be in it. The movie has not yet started filming and is expected to be released on November 2 next year in the US.
