'Fifty Shades Darker' Star Bella Heathcote Is Engaged With Longtime Boyfriend Director Andrew Dominik
The girl that resembles Anastasia Steele and the rest of the submissive in "Fifty Shades Darker" is happy in real life with the announcement of her engagement. Bella Heathcote will soon tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend, director Andrew Dominik, as representatives of Heathcote confirmed. Just on Sunday, the "Fifty Shades Darker" antagonist wore her diamond engagement ring while posting it on her Instagram.
It was not the first time that Bella Heathcote was seen with her engagement ring as she already wore it earlier this month as reported by PEOPLE, during the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival launch. Bella Heathcote seems to be ready to take the next level with Andrew Dominik after seven years being in a relationship. The Australian actress just moved into Los Angeles after receiving the Heath Ledger Scholarship Award for her performance in the Australian war epic "Beneath Hill 60" in 2010.
Although Bella Heathcote started her acting career in 2008, she went to Los Angeles to pursue her career and accept bigger roles. Based on reports from Mail Online, Heathcote appeared as Amanda Fowler in "Neighbours" on 2009 making it her big break on television series. Other films include "Dark Shadows", Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", "The Neon Demon", "The Man in the High Castle".
Bella Heathcote's role as Leila Williams in "Fifty Shades Darker" had made her nervous due to the high expectation from her character. She revealed in a recent interview that she doesn't want to disappoint the movie fans on her portrayal as Christian Grey's past submissive. Heathcote's character as Leila was psychologically bothered and has brought danger to Anastasia Steele.
The recent Instagram post that confirmed her engagement was with fellow actresses Phoebe Tonkin and Lily Collins as they celebrated the latter's birthday. Andrew Dominik who is 20 years older than Bella Heathcote was previously engaged to actress Robin Tunney but called it off in 2010.
