After Huawei released its revered P10 and P10 plus at the MWC, the company has come out with yet another mind-blowing release, the Huawei Watch 2 Classic and Watch 2 Sport. Both watches possess some kind of resemblance, although things are quite different under their hoods.

Huawei's decision to venture into the smart watches production can somehow be attributed to the rising competition between tech corporations including Microsoft, Samsung and Apple. So it's right to say that Huawei is trying to stay valid in the tech market with smartwatches.

According to PCMag, both watches are meant for specific situations. The Watch 2 sports is built in such a way that it can fit in many casual situations like sporting, or in those less formal meetings. The Watch 2 Classic, however, is meant for strictly official uses. You can wear the Watch 2's classic version to a board meeting or for those pitching moments if you are a sales representative.

When it comes to pricing, both watches aren't exactly cheap. As Writer Hut published, you will have to part with at least $266 to own one of these watches. Nonetheless, the products are worth a consideration. To start with, both watches have dimensions of 1.8 by 1.9 by 0.5 inches and feature a glossy finish.

However, the Watch 2 sports features a good deal of plastic on it (on the wristbands and the casing). The Watch 2 Classic, on the other hand, is finished in all leather straps and has a slightly metallic look. This means that the Watch 2 classic is heavier (by 2.1 ounces to be exact).

Other features in the watches include long straps measuring 22mm, Water resistant capabilities and 1.2 inches of AMOLED display. The water resistant capacity on these watches is averaged at an IP68 rating, meaning they can hold a good 30 minutes in 5 feet deep waters.

Some improvements can be noted from the previous Huawei Watch models, especially on the display. The watch has a display resolution of 390 by 390 pixels and clocks up to 326 PPI (pixels per inch). This is an improvement from the earlier 286 PPI.
