The Kevin Williamson time-travel drama, "Time After Time" is based on the 1979 movie following the adventure of H.G Wells whose character played by Freddie Stroma and Jack the Ripper by Josh Browman. It is an adventure through time wherein the two ends up in the modern-day of New York, TV Guide has reported.

Maybe one of the reasons why "Time After Time," is one of those series got the lowest ratings is because many time-traveling genres are currently on the air. "Doctor Who" is one of the successful time-traveling series in the present, who explores a lot of ways adventuring through time. The "Timeless," "Legends of Tomorrow," and "Making History."

Deadline reported that the throughout the five episode of "Time After Time" being aired, it only reached an average of 2.2 million for the weekly viewers. Also, the series on had 0.5 adults 18-49 rating in Live plus same day. Though the series had a reasonably enjoyable pilot episode, it is obvious that the series will not be renewed.

It is a shocking news indeed determining the time frame of "Time After Time" in the air and promptly canceled everything so quick. The series originally has 12 episodes for its first season but due to low-rated episodes and its popularity dropped off since the premiere, ABC killed the show is its half season airs. The show wasn't given the change for bigger audiences and to pick up steam.

Many fans got disappointed how ABC quickly killed "Time After Time. " But reports suggests that there is a possibility that another network will pick up the show as fans wanted to see how the Season 1 of the series pans out.
