Exciting episodes are coming into "Star Trek: Discovery" as the production has cast Rainn Wilson from the series "The Office." In the upcoming episodes, Wilson will be portraying the character of Harry Mudd, who appeared in the original "Star Trek" and was played first by Roger C. Carmel.

"Star Trek: Discovery" episodes will be more star-studded with the new cast, Rainn Wilson who will be playing Harry Mudd. The character of Mudd was also one of the original characters in the original "Star Trek" that was first played by Carmel who also appeared in "Star Trek: The Animated Series."

Mudd was all known to be an interstellar con man, who made the Enterprise crew's lives miserable, dangerous, and complicated in countless times he encountered them. Though according to Variety, the episodes of the series that supposed to feature Wilson is still unknown at the moment.

Moreover, Wilson was best known to be in the character of Dwight Schrute from the cult favorite comedy "The Office." Wilson was also nominated an Emmy Awards for his character, he also starred in the HBO's series, "Six Feet Under" and Fox series, "Backstrom." In the upcoming "Smurfs: The Lost Village" movie, he was the voice of Gargamel, Empire has reported.

In addition, Wilson also starred in the indie films like "The Rocker" and "Super." He also joins the actress, Sonequa Martin-Green from the all-time favorite series, "The Walking Dead." Martin-Green is rumored to be leading the "Star Trek: Discovery" as the lead lieutenant commander.

For more character in the "Star Trek: Discovery," James Frain will be Sarek, the Spock's father, Michelle Yeoh as the captain of the Starship Shenzhou, Anthony Rapp as the space fungus expert. It also includes Jason Isaacs as captain of the Discovery, Maulik Pancholy will be Dr. Nambue, the chief medical officer in the Shenzhou Starship, Terry Serpico as the higher-ranking official of Starfleet, Admiral Anderson.

Also, Sam Vartholomeos will be playing the character of Ensign Connor, the junior officer in the Starfleet Academy and was assigned to the Starship Shenzhou. "Star Trek: Discovery" is set to debut late this summer or early in fall, still unsure about the date as it was repeatedly delayed over unknowing reasons.
