‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Finale Recap: Sasha’s Ultimate Sacrifice Gave Rick & Company The Upper Hand
"The Walking Dead" season 7 finale "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life" came out with a loud roar as all the communities came together to finally face Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors. But before their victory, things did not looked well as Rick (Andrew Lincoln) was met with an unexpected betrayal from the Junkyard community and Negan coming to Alexandria ready to kill Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green). However, one sacrifice led to victory. Sasha killed herself and turned into Walker Sasha and scared Negan out of his pants.
Negan got the scare of his life as he thought he had the upper hand in "The Walking Dead" season 7 finale. As he and his troops came to Alexandria and asked Rick to stop the upcoming war, he knew that he had the upper hand by announcing he has Sasha inside a coffin and he was ready to kill her if Rick did not bow down. It seemed that Rick had no choice but to comply as Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) turned her gun at him. Rick thought that he had the support of the Junkyard people but it seemed that they were also waiting for the right time to strike.
Negan did not know that Sasha tool a suicide pill before she went inside the coffin. Soon enough as he opened the coffin after a long monologue, Walker Sasha came out and almost bit his face off. Variety reported. Sasha's surprise attack in "The Walking Dead" season 7 finale gave Alexandria, Hilltop and Kingdom communities time to attack. Everyone took that small chance to prove that they had enough of the Saviors.
The "The Walking Dead" season 7 finale did not give a letdown, BGR reported. However it meant that the war has just started and this won't be the last time that they will hear from the Saviors again. Rick and co. have sent a clear message to Negan and the Saviors not to mess with them again.
"The Walking Dead" season 7 finale was explosive action and fans expect more in season 8 of the AMC apocalyptic series. Season 8 will premiere late 2017 which will also be the series' 100th episode.
