‘Yuri!!! On Ice’ Season 2 Spoilers: More Yuri X Victor Moments In Anime’s Possible October Release
"Yuri!!! On Ice" season 2 will air really soon according to the popular anime's creator Mitsuro Kubo and the plot is rumored to be about the continuation of the romance between Victor and Yuri. There are reports that say that the romantic ice skating animated series will air its season 2 in October 2017.
A surprise fans day during the final week of March paved the way for the revelation of "Yuri!!! On Ice" season 2. Organizers of the event announced the special day in numerous online fan pages and surprised everyone by revealing that there will be a possible sequel to the popular series, 247Techy reported.
It won't be too surprising if rumors were true that "Yuri!!! On Ice" season 2 would be about the interrupted romance between Victor and Yuri. The next season may also feature Yuri's training as he becomes more preoccupied with perfecting his talents as a champion skater. Victor will surely continue to support Yuri but not without a kiss or two as their controversial PDA is still raking viewership on YouTube.
Meanwhile, "Yuri!!! On Ice" is still on the top of Japan's Blu-ray sales chart. Crunchyroll revealed that the latest Oricon sales report showed that the fourth Blu-ray volume of YOI anime sold 33,000 units in its first week. The fourth volume includes the seventh and the eight episode of the anime while a fifth press limited edition volume is set to be released soon. The fifth volume will have a special CD featuring the voice actors of the main characters and will be wrapped in a special cover drawing created by Kubo himself. Positive sales figures also increased speculations that there will be a "Yuri!!! On Ice" season 2.
Aside from rejoicing over the good news of a "Yuri!!! On Ice" season 2, fans are also becoming very protective over their favorite anime. Fans have recently posted a petition against an animated series titled "Love On Ice" saying that this had a similar storyline with YOI. Kubo was quick to point out that any similarities are just plain coincidence and fans should stop comparing the two series.
