The 47-year-old singer ended her relationship with her 33-year-old back-up dancer boyfriend Bryan Tanaka. The couple's relationship ended on Patrick's day when the two dined together at Los Angeles hot spot Catch.  Tanaka and Carey were in a relationship with each other for five months which started last October after the fall of her relationship with billionaire James Packer.

 Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka's split started with jealousy over  Mariah's ex- husband Nick Cannon. Carey was overheard by Tanaka telling the staff at Catch that she is still very close to her ex-husband.  According to the news sources, Tanaka got jealous and has been long extremely jealous with Mariah's close relationship with Cannon.

Regarding with the issue, Cannon just joked that most men got jealous with him and he knows nothing about it. He explained that they will always be a family since they have kids together, and now they maintain a good relationship with each other for the sake of their children.

 According to the sources of ET Online, Tanaka was dating Carey to help him launch a  music career and to increase his profile.Another issue with the couple popped up last April 9, 2017, that Mariah gives her boyfriend Bryan Tanaka a money to buy her gifts but Carey's rep told the public that it's not true. With all the different issues in Carey and Tanaka's  relationship, jealousy was the main reason for their break- up.

Although Tanaka joined Carey and friends in Cabo, San Lucas, Mexico last March in celebration with her 47th birthday, the relationship was already cooled off that time and Tanaka was trying to post pictures with her to make it look that everything was fine. According to TMZ, Tanaka also felt " disrespected" when Mariah and Cannon attended the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards together with their children.
