Blac Chyna Denied To Trademark The Kardshian Name
It's official! Angela Renee Kardashian is not happening- at least for now. The Kardashians can sigh in relief now that the odds are in their favor.
This is following the report by LA Times, about Blac Chyna's request to trademark the Kardashian name being denied in court. Back in May of last year, Chyna whose real name is Angela Renee White has passed a petition in court to trademark the name Angela Kardashian before tying the knot to her then fiancé Robert Kardashian.
The said move is for her to have the exclusive control and ownership of the name professionally for her brand and business engagements. She specifically only wants to secure her Kardashian name in black and white for "protective measures."
This however raised a lot of issues and contradictions to Rob's sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe that prompts them to file a petition against it saying their companies would "suffer irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill if the opposed mark is allowed to register," as US Weekly reports. Part of the details of the document that was filed cited that the said trademark will create confusion in the marketplace.
Further, despite the drama, it was reported that the sisters, however, would want to settle this matter cordially in private with their then soon to be sister in law. But since then, there were no reports stating that their counter-appeal was called off, so the issue was still not resolved and proceedings obviously went through.
Finally, the court ended this narrative for both parties and officially rejected Blac Chyna's petition leaving the Kardashian sisters the victor of this saga. The pair who has been on and off since and now parents to their first born, Dream have been posting videos on their social media account but have yet to comment on this issue to date.
