Ashton Kutcher was recently honored with the Robert D. Ray Pillar of Character Award. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge the individuals who demonstrate good character as a role model.

According to Us Weekly, Ashton Kutcher paid an emotional tribute to his wife, Mila Kunis, during his acceptance speech. The actor also mentioned his ex-wife, brother, and his two children while he was on the podium. The 39-year old stated that his wife always motivates him, which in return has refined his character.

The "No Strings Attached" actor continued that his two kids have been his greatest lesson in character building in his life. After becoming a father Ashton Kutcher wanted to call his parents and thank them for their unconditional love and support.

Talking about his parents, Ashton Kutcher also mentioned his much controversial divorce with actress Demi Moore. He said that the divorce process was eye opening for him and he understood his parents' divorce in a better way.

"I had the great fortune of getting a divorce because I felt the impact of it and I felt how much loss is in there and how much love is in there and that it's not neat or clean or messy," Us Weekly quoted Ashton Kutcher. "And I understood, finally, my parents' divorce in a whole different way."

As per ABC News, Ashton Kutcher also acknowledged his twin brother, Michael Kutcher, for contributing in building his character. His brother was born with cerebral palsy.

The actor became emotional while talking about his twin and stated that his brother has taught him loving people isn't a choice and everyone is not equal. However, Ashton Kutcher added, everybody has an equal capacity to love one another and that's the lesson he learned from his brother.

In his 16-minute speech, Ashton Kutcher also joked that he was probably the first person to receive an award for moral character who was once arrested for a felony burglary. The incident took place when the actor once tried to break into his high school. He also mentioned how he was termed as an adulterer five years ago by the paparazzi.
