Kanye West fans to receive free 1000 Bibles from American Bible Society following its hit gospel-rap album Jesus is King

Another inspiring story has brought the American Bible Society (ABS) to give 1000 free Bibles to Kanye West's fans following his hit gospel-rap album Jesus is King, a report from Breitbart. Kanye West is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and a record producer who was born in June 8, 1977 in Atlanta but was raised in Chicago.

With the recent release of his new album, the google searches for Jesus is King and What do Christians Believe? has increased. In a report from Fox News , the portion of his song Selah is supported with the bible reference from John 8:33 which states that "We the descendants of Abraham, Ye should be made free" and John 8:36 which states that "To whom the son is set free is free indeed, He saved a wretch like me."

Kanye West became known in the early 2000's as a producer of Rock-A-Fella records. He also produced the singles of recording artists such as Ludacris, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. Aside from a producer, he is also one of the most critically acclaimed musicians in the 21st century and one of the best-selling music artists of all times with a record breaking of 140 million records sold worldwide.

Pastor Adam Tyson, the senior pastor of the Placerita Bible Church located outside Los Angeles, is the personal pastor of Kanye West and has been leading him in a bible study since August. Pastor Tyson claimed that West's faith was renewed way back in mid-May, when he started to visit the church and join bible study.

Aside from the Bible study, he also had a casual conversation with West and told him about how to love God, walk in holiness, and love others. In return, West shared about working in an album Jesus is King, which is takes a different tone from his past albums.

Gospel of Kanye themed Bible study was held Wednesday night in Texas and another Closed on Sunday, the same name of West's song that references Chick-fil-A, was preached during the sermon of Pastor Rich Wilkerson, Jr.

The American Bible Society will be giving 1000 free Bibles to Kanye West's fans. The organization's director of ministry intelligence, Dr. John Farquhar Plake, said that every time they saw an influential cultural figure like Kanye West who seeks to inspire young people, they take advantage of it to do what is must as an organization by providing God's word through Bible and make it as the source of their faith.

Moreover, the organization also found out during their State of the Bible survey that 61 per cent of the millennials and 58 per cent of the Generation Z are curious about the Bible. Plake added that the album of Kanye West is pointing the gap between cultural curiosity and curiosity about the Bible.
