It is always part of the annual routine of the president of United States of America to undergo physical and medical evaluations. The purpose of these tests is to ensure that the president is still healthy enough perform his duties and responsibilities.

Traditionally, the medical tests of the president are scheduled ahead of time as to allow for the hospital, as well as the president, to prepare. This also affords the public the knowlege of the health of the president.

However, this is not what happened to the medical test of President Trump this year. According to CNN, the White House said that President Trump underwent a quick and unscheduled medical exam with laboratory tests on Saturday. The reason being is because the president anticipated his busy schedule next year as the elections will consume most of his time.

Many were speculating if the president may be experiencing medical issues due to his unscheduled visit, but White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said that the president does not have any medical issues and that he just decided to have the test on Saturday as it was a less-than-normally busy day.

Grisham said that "Anticipating a very busy 2020, the President is taking advantage of a free weekend here in Washington, D.C., to begin portions of his routine annual physical exam at Walter Reed". President Trump had an initial test earlier this year.

In another report from Fox News, the president spent about four hours at the hospital and was reported to have spent time with the families of injured special forces troops who had been assigned in Afghanistan. He also gave thanks to the staff of the hospital for the outstanding care they are giving to the wounded soldiers, Grisham said. This is the ninth visit of the president to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center since 2017.

Grisham also told reporters that the president remains healthy despite his busy schedule and she even said that he is the most energetic person in the White House. The secretary also said that Trump works as early as 6 am until late in the evening. However, when asked about the results of the unscheduled test of the president at the Walter Reed, Grisham said that the White House will not release any details until he finishes all required tests.

Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Correspondent of CNN, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, shared in his news segment that while it is true that laboratories can be done in most nearby hospitals, there are in fact tests that would require the president to visit Walter Reed. Dr. Gupta also said that is also not clear as to when the staff of Walter Reed received a notice of Trump's visit. CNN asked for a comment from the hospital but no response has beengiven.

The medical results haven't always been positive for the president. In February of this year he was found to have gained four pounds, his blood pressure was 118/80, and his daily prescribed dose for managing his cholesterol was increased. In 2018, President Trump diagnosed with a common form of heart disease.
