Latin Artists Make It to the Top of the Charts on Vevo 2019
As the year 2019 comes to a close, music, music videos, and video streaming businesses and service providers are releasing different statistics. It was great to hear that artists of Hispanic or Latino origins are making a significant appearance in those charts.
An example of these charts is from YouTube where the music video of "Despacito" had taken the top spot as the top-ranking video for the past ten years. The video had attained views of more than six billion!
In online music platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, and Shazam, J Balvin and Bad Bunny are also part of the top-ranking artists of each chart. Balvin was the most searched artist in Shazam.
In the first half of the week, Vevo had also released their chart for the globally top watched artist for the year 2019. A lot of Latin artists had also made it to the list.
In the charts of Vevo, out of ten artists on the list, three were of Latino origin. Maluma took the third place in the charts, Anuel AA acquired the seventh place in the list, and Karol G placed in the top eight.
Maluma's manager, Miguel Lua, was not able to contain his excitement and gratefulness and had posted a highlight of the accomplishment of Maluma. In his already-deleted social media post, he included the hashtag #FlowMaluma and a smiling happy emoji with sunglasses.
It has been a successful 2019 for the Columbian pop artist, Maluma. She had been dominating the charts of music and video streaming platforms.
At the start of the last quarter of the year 2019, Maluma's 11:11 album was also nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Latin Album. He had also reentered Soltero and signed an extension of his contract agreement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
According to some people, Maluma is gaining fast in Vevo compared to Anuel. However, Maluma loses to Anuel in the Real Hasta La Muerte trapero in the Top Latin Artists Charts of Spotify.
In other articles, Karol G gets the top position as 2019's top listened female artist in urbano. Recently, her latest song had been released. The title of the song is Tusa. At its debut, it had reached the top ranks in the Billboard Hot Latin Songs list. This is her first collaboration with mujeres.
There is no one hundred percent certainty on the reliability of the statistics shown by charts on Latin Artists because of the vast and wide circulation of fake news.
Regardless, the results of these charts for the Latin Artists of today are showing a great accomplishment for the Latino community in the entertainment industry.
Currently, videos are the most preferred type of music trend, not only in the country but in the world.
Some of the works of Balvin and Benito such as "La Canción," and the "Cuidado Por Ahí", and Guaynaa and Mon Laferte's works like the "Plata Ta Tá" should also be the next Latin Artists to hit the charts.
