JLo Shares Lessons Learned From Her High-Profile Relationships

Currently, Jennifer Lopez is engaged to marry the former New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez.

During a recent interview by CBS Sunday Morning, J-Lo, who is now 50, was asked to share her past relationships (the famous ones) including Sean "Puffy" Combs and Ben Affleck.

Jennifer Lopez had been with Sean Combs from 1999 to 2001. She was also engaged with her former co-star Ben Affleck in 2002. Her marriage with Ben Affleck was scheduled in 2003 but was postponed a couple of days before the date of the wedding. Her split with Affleck happened in 2004.

According to Jennifer Lopez, her relationship with Ben Affleck was a bit "crazy". She called it a "heightened" period of her life. She had shared that Affleck and he grew in the Bronx. She said that Affleck had been into music and entrepreneurship for years and attained success.

She said that when they've met, she was just starting her career as a single as her 1st ever album had just debuted. He was her mentor during that time. What they had was an unrestrained relationship that closed with a loud noise in the show industry.

Just after her relationship ended with Sean Combs, he was charged with a firearms violations after being accused of firing into a crowded club. Later on, he was found to be not guilty of the charges pressed against him.

According to Jennifer Lopez, she was destined to meet Combs. Combs had helped her thrive in the competitive entertainment industry. She said that Combs had helped her become the type of artist she is today.

She shared how weird it is saying the nickname given to her and her relationship with Affleck: "Bennifer".

She said that the people she is talking about are the people who had significantly touched her life and she had cared and loved for. She described the uniqueness of her relationships with her past lovers.

J-Lo told that her relationship with the two men was completely different. Ben Affleck wanted their relationship to be private and away from the tabloids. During her relationship with Ben Affleck, the tabloids were at their peak. Both of them were on the tabloids almost every week. The experience became very overwhelming for them.

She shared how helpless she was on how she can correct the portrayal of their relationship in the tabloids.

According to Jennifer Lopez, she learned how to live her life through those challenges in the past years in the industry. She is happy with her achievements and lessons learned in the past. She had grown used to most of those challenges similar in the past.

After her relationship with Affleck, she had married Mark Anthony. They had twins and later split in 2014. After that, she dated and later became engaged to Rodriguez.

It was reported that Affleck had dated Jennifer Garner in 2004, but their divorce had only taken effect in 2018. Sean Combs was previously linked to the stepdaughter of Steve Harvey, Lori Harvey. However, their split was also reported.
