A tourist package by Airbnb had advertised the "Vivir La Revolución Chilena" (Live the Chilean Revolution) for the nonstop protests of Chileans in their country involving the inequality in the country and other issues concerning the Chilean economy and well-being of its citizens.

The tour campaign was immediately terminated last week after the negative reactions of the citizens of Chile and the confusion of Airbnb customers.

Based on the statement released by The Guardian, $26 will allow someone to purchase bottled water, eye goggles for the eyes' protection, and 2 hours of a tour in the protests like in the Plaza Italia of Santiago.

After a large number of complaints such as on different social media sites, the tour package listing was terminated. The tour package was previously posted on the Airbnb Experiences page.

According to a written statement by Airbnb, they are prioritizing the guests' and hosts' safety. They also said in their written statement that they will take immediate actions if there are concerns shared to them such as any violations of the policies of the company, the policies of the community, and any terms of the services offered by the company.

According to Al Dia, Chile had woke up and its capital is becoming more alive than before. There are learnings to get from the arts demonstrated by the artists and the demand of the community had greatly influenced their protests. The recently removed campaign was a description of the current events in the country of Chile.

Sebastián Nieto is the 30-year-old who proposed the idea and plans to give tourists an educational opportunity to witness history in the making. He believes that the campaign would've allowed tourists to witness in close proximity to the places which are only accessible through a local in the area.

Despite his vision, Nieto did not receive 100% of the support of the people especially the online community. One social media post by a concerned person said that the protests are "not a business." Other social media posts had also included statements saying that the events in Chile are not "Wild on" experiences and that the protests are their fight for achieving equality and uplifting the dignity of the people of Chile and not a mere stunt to increase the tourism in the country.

According to a person from Germany, he describes Nieto to be taking advantage of the unfortunate events in the country of Chile.

Nieto added to his statement that he was also adapting to what guests want to witness when they are in the capital of the country.

The protests that had been happening in Chile are sparked by the need to stop the selfishness of a few powerful people in the country. The protests had witnessed violence which had resulted in a minimum of 23 deaths and approximately 2,000 injuries. Most of those people who were injured in the protest got blinded from the rubber pellets fired towards them.

According to Fran Sasso (runs an educational not-for-profit tour), the daily suffering of Chileans should not be taken advantage of and used for making money.
