A Month Before Selena's Death
In March 1995, Selena Quintanilla was excelling in the entertainment industry as a musician. Her performance for at least 60,000 people at the Houston Astrodome on February 26, 1995, had allowed her to become the largest performer in the said area during that year.
On March 1, 1995, Selena attended the Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles. During that time, she received a nomination for the Best Mexican-American Performance. She received the nomination for her Amor Prohibido album. However, she was not able to win the awards.
She also planned on building a house with his husband Chris Perez. They planned to build their home in Corpus Christi, Texas. It would have been a great opportunity for them to live independently from her parents. Also, they planned to have children in the future.

However, Saldívar's relationship with the Quintanillas had been scarred when Selena's father heard the complaints of fans who said that they did not receive the items they had already paid. Selena Found Out that Saldívar Possessed a Gun Two Weeks Before She Died
