We Have the Confirmed Cars for Fast and Furious 9 [Photos]
An article from Screen Rant revealed that the Fast and Furious 9 will be in theaters in May. The makers of the movie have confirmed a list of cars that will make an appearance in the film.
The Fast and Furious movie collection has had eight films so far with two spinoffs. The entire movie series has had a total worldwide earnings of at least $5 billion. This makes the films part of the top 10 highest-grossing movie franchises of all time.
Fast and Furious primarily focused on the story of street racing. However, as the movie franchise releases new films, it has shifted to plots such as saving the world. One thing that remained constant in the film is its appreciation for the beauty and craftsmanship of fast cars.
Here are some of the confirmed car models which will make an appearance in the new Fast and Furious 9:
1968 Dodge Charger 500
Since the beginning of the movie franchise, the Dodge Charger, an American muscle car, has been making appearances in the movie series. After all, we know Dom prefers American muscle.
In the trailer of the latest film of the franchise, Dom was seen behind the wheel of a 1968 Dodge Charger 500 while trying to avoid an overturned truck.
Yamaha YZ450F
In Fast Furious 7, Letty, Dom's wife, was seen to showcase her combat skills in her epic battle with Ronda. Letty's off-road preference is the Yamaha YZ450F.
2018 Acura NSX
Among Dom's crew, Tej is the brains and gadget master. In the Fast and Furious 9 poster, Tej is seen in front of a 2018 Acura NSX. This car serves as a throwback to the car of Tej in the film 2 Fast 2 Furious. Tej's car in 2 Fast 2 Furious was a 1991 Acura NSX NA1.
2020 Jeep Gladiator
Jeeps were also favored in the entire Fast and Furious film franchise. Most of the Jeeps that made an appearance in the film franchise were huge and augmented such as the car used by Tej in Furious 7.
In a Fast and Furious 9 trailer clip, Roman was shown behind the wheel of a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. He was seen driving in the mountains while on a collapsing bridge made of wood.
2018 Noble M600
In Furious 7, Ramsey was portrayed as an intelligent, scared and passive individual. Her expertise in technology had made her an important part of the team. In chase scenes, Ramsey was noticed to be a co-pilot in past films. However, in a poster for the Fast and Furious 9, she is seen alone with a 2018 Noble M600.
1974 Chevrolet Nova SS
Mia was not seen in The Fate of the Furious. This was connected to the death of Paul Walker in the franchise. However, the latest film of the movie franchise will allow Mia to make an appearance. She will be driving a 1974 Chevrolet Nova SS. She is expected to once again join the team.
Ford Mustang GT350
John Cena will be joining the latest movie of the franchise. He will be playing the role of Dom's estranged brother. Cena's character was seen driving a Ford Mustang GT350 off a cliff, what a waste!
