Jennifer Lopez, who took the role of Ramona from the favorite of last year's festival Hustlers, was sad about her Oscars snub.

The Hustlers were directed by Lorene Scafaria. It showed the story of a group of strippers from New York. The strippers had turned the table of one of their Wall Street Clients after the 2008 financial downfall. 

The film was based on an article from a New York Magazine. The article was written by Jessica Pressler. The article was entitled 'The Hustlers at Scores.' A lot of people were surprised after finding out that the film will be making it to the big screen, says an article from Screen Rant.

J.Lo's Disappointment for Her Oscar Snub

During a conversation with Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez spoke about her disappointment in not being nominated in the Oscars. She believed that she was going to be nominated in the Oscars because of the voluminous articles containing good reviews on her performance in the film. After the nominations were made and her name was not called, she said that she felt down. 

She shared how she felt that she let down her team because she felt that her team had a lot of hope that she will get nominated. She said that her team had been with her for 20 to 25 years.  

At the end of the day, J.Lo stated that she does not need any validation from anyone to know that she is a good performer. Also, she realized that what is important is that she loves what she is doing.

Regardless of not receiving any nomination from The Academy, she is proud to receive awards from the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Golden Globes, and the Indie Spirit Awards, and a lot more.
