An Oklahoma journalist who was present at Trump's Tulsa rally last week announced that he is now COVID-19 positive.

Paul Monies, who represents Oklahoma Watch wrote on Twitter that, "I'm pretty surprised. I have zero symptoms (so far), and I feel fine. In fact, I ran 5 miles this morning."

Monies also pointed out that he then spent the last few hours seeking out the people who've he made contact within the last 14 days. 

According to AP News, the journalist was inside the Bank of Oklahoma Center for President Donald Trump's Tulsa rally for at least 6 hours. For this reason, Monies put on a mask and keep at a safe distance from other individuals. 

After knowing that he was a COVID-19 positive, he took it upon himself to reach out to friends and acquaintances that he came into contact with being indoors or in the neighborhood. He also mentioned in the article that no contact tracers have called him to identify everyone and make sure that they do not even interact with others. 

Some Members of the Campaign Staff Also In Isolation 

The news of Monies being COVID-19 positive comes multiple campaign staffers, and members of the Secret Service also became infected with the virus. In a report from the New York Post, dozens of special agents were asked to isolate as a precaution. This news came after, eight staffers from the Tulsa rally became COVID-19 positive.

However, the article mentions that details of the Secret Service's exact information were withheld as it is their directive not to divulge personal health information on how many were or currently in quarantine. For the staff members present in the rally, it was indicated that they followed proper safety precautions like wearing masks during the whole event. 

In a related report from Fox News, at least 11 members from the Secret Service last May are COVID-19 positive. Some 60 other White House staffers were also asked to self-quarantine as a precaution.
