Kelly Rowland Married, Pregnant With Baby Number One: 'Motivation' Singer Announces News With Instagram Photo
Just weeks after marrying her manager and boyfriend Tim Witherspoon, Kelly Rowland has announced, in a rather creative way, that she is pregnant with her first child.
The 33-year-old singer posted on her Instagram account a photo that confirms her pregnancy, something which has been suspected by the media over the past couple of weeks. The photo shows her husband's Air Jordan shoes with a baby pair of the same brand right beside them. Its caption reads, "I'll be stuntin like my daddy....." The photo was posted on June 10.
The couple got married last May in Costa Rica but Rowland had announced their engagement in December of last year in her appearance on "The Queen Latifah Show". Their wedding was intimate with only about 30 people in attendance, which included her former bandmate Beyoncé Knowles and her sister Solange, according to Us Weekly. Beyoncé also shared an Instagram post earlier that day showing a photo of herself in what looked like a bridesmaid's dress.
Rumors about her pregnancy were sparked last weekend when Kelly appeared on stage wearing a rather baggy outfit, possibly in an attempt to hide a baby bump.
While news about her pregnancy was confirmed only yesterday, the couple had been spotted shopping for baby items as far back as May 27 in a store called Bel Bambini in West Hollywood. According to People magazine, an onlooker saw the couple checking out baby furniture and strollers in the store as well as some baby clothes.
While the star has announced her expected motherhood, she didn't fail to wow the crowd in a premiere she attended with Michelle Williams where she wore stilettos, a black suit and a plunging blouse without any hints of a bump. Rowland was formerly engaged to football player Roy Williams. However, their relationship ended early in 2005. And now, the former X factor judge is expecting her first child. Congrats!
