Nick Cordero's son said his first words! The moment was caught on camera by the late actor's wife, Amanda Kloots.

Cordero died after a long health battle with coronavirus on July 5 at the age of 41, leaving his wife and son before he can even hear the baby boy's first words.

Kloots and Cordero's one-year-old son, Elvis, can be seen in a video kissing a photo of his father, who died due to complications from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). His mother took her joy to Instagram on Sunday using a sweet post.

"Elvis said his first words today!!" Kloots gushed in the caption. The boy answered her question of "Where's dada?" by pointing to a photo of his father and saying "right there" before accidentally and adorably pulling the photo off the table.

Missing Milestones

In her post, Kloots said the little boy hasn't seen Cordero since March 30, the day the Broadway actor admitted to the hospital with the deadly disease.

The loving mother felt amazing knowing that her son still knows his "Dada," pointing to him and giving him a kiss despite the long time they've spent apart.

At the time, Cordero was fighting with the coronavirus, Kloots had kept fans informed with health updates. She told people about the complications that her husband met in his fight. During that time, she also posted about the many milestones that her son had.

Apart from his first words, Cordero also missed his son's first steps and his first birthday. He was prevented from being there for his family during his stay in the intensive care unit (ICU) until his passing.

Shortly after the Broadway actor's death, Kloots revealed that Elvis had made it a habit to kiss her phone whenever she looks at photos of her late husband, said an Entertainment Tonight report.

She said she shows videos of Cordero to their son and a voicemail video Nick saved on his phone. She swore the boy leaned into the phone and gave his father a kiss. The habit kept going from then on.

The widow admits that her heart melted as her son tried to press play on the video just to continue giving kisses to his dad. "It made me feel like he recognizes Nick. He knows, who he is and he recognizes his dad, even though it's been over three months," she said.

Supposed New Beginnings

The family was supposed to move together cross-country from New York City to Los Angeles when Cordero fell ill with the coronavirus.

Cordero's friend Zach Braff revealed in April that the mother and son had been staying at his guest house since the actor was hospitalized at the Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, reported People.

In a Page Six report, Kloots said she is preparing to move soon into a new home that they bought together. She knows it won't be easy on her, but she has faith that her late husband's spirit will stay with them.

She said she's going through it knowing she needs to be strong. "I have to find my new normal, at least whatever that is for Elvis and I right now," she noted.

She said she knew her husband would always be with them, so his presence will live on in their new home through family photos that she swore to put up in their Los Angeles house.
