Rihanna, Chris Brown & Drake News Update 2014: Did 'All Me' Star Leave Maxim Hot 100 Party to Avoid Controversy?
Both of Rihanna's exes, Drake and Chris Brown, were attending the Maxim Hot 100 party in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, June 11, and there certainly was no bottle throwing.
It was actually Brown's first night out since his recent release from jail, and the infamous love rivals were able to avoid any drama -- the "Started from the Bottom" hitmaker reportedly made a quick exit when he discovered that the "Loyal" singer was in the same building. "Once [Drake] found out that Chris Brown was there, he left the building," an eyewitness at last night's venue revealed. "He didn't want to be there with Chris in the building."
Although the Toronto emcee was recently seen singing along to the R&B singer's hit "Loyal" at this year's Hot 97 Summer Jam, the pair inevitably continues their long-running feud since they both have been in on-and-off relationships with the Barbadian beauty for few years. In fact, they previously made headlines because of their physical confrontation.
Drake and Chris Brown were both partying at New York City's W.i.P. nightclub back in June 2012, and the fight broke out between them over Rihanna. The "Hold On, We're Going Home" rapper commented last year on the violent incident. "I'm not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I'm not going to back down," he said. "It's embarrassing, the amount of media coverage ... Two rappers fighting over the woman. He's not even a rapper, but still, it's the last way you want your name out there. It distracts from the music. But he's made me the enemy, and that's the way it's gonna stay, I guess."
Meanwhile, the "Take Care" duo has split up last month, and Drake apparently wants Rihanna to completely forget about him. "He gave his whole heart to Rihanna and he feels she stomped on it," a source said. "He told Rihanna's best friend, Melissa Forde, that Rihanna should forget his face, forget his number and never call or come crying when she's hurt or lonely."
