Telemundo's answer to "Nuestra Belleza Latina," which airs on Univision, is no more.

"Miss Latina Universo" has been postponed until further notice, sources confirmed to Latin Times. The show was supposed to premiere this Sunday.

Unlike "Nuestra Belleza Latina," the Telemundo show would send its winner to the Miss Universe pageant.

Chiquis Rivera, Barbara Palacio, Armando Correa and Javier "Potty" Castillo were confirmed as judges.

In a press release, Telemundo explained that the show was not the quality it expected.

"We have made the decision to postpone production of 'Miss Latina Universo' to assure that the series reflects the quality and standards of the 'Miss Universe' and Telemundo brands," the statement said, according to El Nacional.

Although the postponement was revealed earlier this week, it was because of social media that many became aware of the delay.

The rumor on social media is that, now Latina Nia Sanchez has been crowned Miss USA, the competition is no longer necessary. The point of the show was to find a Latina woman to represent the United States' Latino community. If the competition happens, then there will be two Latinas representing America.

Telemundo has not confirmed nor denied this theory.

It seems no one is clear on whether or not the show is actually canceled or truly working out the issues that it's facing. The show has not been promoted on Telemundo's website, which might support the fact that the show won't be airing at all.

The postponement of the show happened quickly, as Chiquis Rivera confirmed she was going to be a guest just last week, which is only a few days before Sanchez was named Miss USA.

River said on Facebook: "I am so happy and appreciative of God and all of you. Being part of a program like @latinauniverso is a dream come true! I've always liked everything that has to do with beauty, but something that my uncle @juanriveramusic taught me as a young girl is that inner beauty is the most important. And my goal is to guide these beautiful Latinas to understand that and that being Latina is something to be proud of from deep within! I hope to represent my mother and all the Latinas in the United States properly. I love you!!!"
