Stressed? Here are Some Things You Must Not Do
Stress is a very bothering feeling. Many factors cause stress to a person. It could be coming from your family members, friends, co-workers who love to gossip, your environment, and more. If a person is stressed, his or her decision-making skill is also affected.
Most of the time, these decisions may have a negative result. It can wreak havoc and lead a person to end up in a poor decision. That is why it is vital to manage stress and know what not to do when experiencing it.
Here are some of the things you should not do if you are stressed:
1. Do not share the issue with many people
Always remember to look for one person who can comfort you. Share with him or her about what made you stressed. Do not tell it to many people because it will not help. If you share it with many people, you are keeping the source of your stress at the front of your mind. That will make you get out of control and will give you difficulties in creating new ideas.
2. Do not get drunk
Drowning yourself with alcohol, overeating, sharing the issue with other people will not help you. These will not reduce your stress. Chances are you want to get drunk to forget your problems, but face the reality that the problem will still be there a day after. Aside from it, you will have headaches, nausea, and the sinking feeling that you did something you are glad you don't remember.
3. Dwelling on all night
If you are stressed, that means that you need to rest. Some people deprived themselves not to sleep when they are stressed. However, if you deprive yourself of not sleeping, you cannot come up with a clear decision to resolve the problem. It would be best if you had your brain in an optimal working condition. Do not immediately blame other persons why you are stressed. Maybe you created it first.
4. Procrastinate
Focus your mind on what to do and what needs to be done. If you are putting things off like not doing your assigned task because you are stressed, that's not a good idea. Getting things done even if you are stress will reduce your stress, but putting things off creates a backlog that adds to your stress.
5. Forget not to relax
Some spend the whole day trying to figure out how to resolve the cause of their stress. Again that is not a good idea. You have to spend an hour relaxing like reading a book, watching a movie, meditating, But if you find yourself going back to your problem, you are getting back to your stress source.
These are just a few things that you should not do when you are stress. The most important thing that you should always remember is not to decide all at once if you are stressed. This will have low and negative results that you may regret later on in your life.
