Pres. Trump gave a green light and said that he likes the amount that the Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan group, introduced earlier this week. The new stimulus package includes more relief aids, including two rounds of $1,200 stimulus checks and $600 weekly unemployment benefits.

Pres. Trump also encouraged the congressional Republicans to support the new relief aid with a much higher amount and stimulus payments for millions of Americans. The new stimulus is entirely different from the proposed GOP targeted bill.

Pres. Trump posted on his Twitter account and wrote, "Democrats are "heartless." They don't want to give STIMULUS PAYMENTS to people who desperately need the money, and whose fault it was NOT that the plague came in from China. Go for the much higher numbers, Republicans, it all comes back to the USA anyway (one way or another!)."

He said this after his administration's proposal was rejected several times, and his request to release the unspent budget worth $300 billion under the CARES Act 1 was not granted. Trump wanted to use it and send it as stimulus payments t over 160 million Americans.

Moreover, Pres. Trump expressed his support to the roughly $2 trillion proposed stimulus package of the House Problem Solvers Caucus on Wednesday evening at the White House. Even though some members of the Republicans might resist the proposed package, Trump assured that he will convince them to support the bill.

Trump said, "I like the larger amount, I've said that. Some of the Republicans disagree, but I think I can convince them to go along with that because I like the larger number. I want to see people get money," He also added that he would approve every detail of the Problem Solvers Caucus.

Moreover, Pres. Trump has been very supportive for the second round of new stimulus package after the CARES Act 1 expired in July. After it, a series of negotiations to reach a deal was made, but the top negotiators from the Democrats rejected the proposal.

This time the Democratic members in Congress are unhappy and are making noises against Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Democratic Representatives are afraid that voters will penalize them if they cannot pass the bill.

According to a published article in Intelligencer, there is even some talk among rank-and-file House Democrats about withholding their votes on the Continuing Resolution unless the House takes up coronavirus relief, despite a White House-leadership deal to keep the two issues separate.

A Democratic Representative, who chose not to be named, shared that Democratic lawmakers are just nervous about pressuring Pelosi. However, they want to vote on a relief aid before they leave the House to focus on the upcoming election.

The tension that is going on within the Democrats' rank shows that they are slowly breaking as the election nears. Millions of Americans who are hoping for relief aid might blame the Democrats for their consistent rejection of the several proposed relief bill by the White House and Democrats.
