Chrissy Teigen announced that she suffered a miscarriage after being hospitalized for 'excessive bleeding.'
On Wednesday night, the sad news shared by Teigen in an Instagram post, according to The Sun. Teigen's post was accompanied by a series of photos of her in the hospital. Teigen wrote, "We are shocked in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before."
She explained that they are not able to stop the bleeding and give their baby enough fluids he needs though 'bags and bags' of blood transfusions were provided.
Teigen, 34, shared that she and her husband John Legend already named their son that they lost. In the caption, Chrissy continued by saying they never decided on their babies' name until the last possible after they are born before they leave the hospital. But the couple had started calling the loss' little guy' Jack. "So he will always be Jack to us."
The model believes that Jack worked hard to be a part of their little family. She assured him that he would forever be. Teigen then addressed Jack and wrote, "To our Jack - I'm so sorry that the first few moments of your life met with so many complications, that we couldn't give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you." Chrissy's emotional post continued by thanking her followers for their support. "We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you."
The post concluded with Chrissy acknowledging what she's grateful for.
Later, the model tweeted that they are driving home from the hospital with no baby. The model still can't believe what happened.
Teigen was put on bed rest in September and eventually hospitalized because of excessive bleeding from her placenta. On September 24, Chrissy shared an ultrasound of the child wherein she applauded her baby for ″working so hard."
According to PEOPLE, back in August, the parents revealed the surprise as part of Legend's Wild" music video with a source who told PEOPLE that Teigen never thought it would be possible for her to get pregnant naturally and called the pregnancy a 'miracle.'
Another source revealed that Teigen was 'pretty shocked' when she found out about the pregnancy knowing that she had previously undergone in vitro fertilization to conceive their two children.
In September, Chrissy Teigen opened up about the pregnancy complications and said her placenta is ″super weak,″ causing her to bleed, that led to her bed rest which she noted was ″high-risk.″
Previously, Legend opened up that his priority as a husband is being a ″rock″ for Chrissy. In November 2019, he said that being a good husband is about listening and communicating to what your partner wants and needs. He also explained how becoming parents strengthened his bond with Chrissy. The couple tied the knot in 2013.
