Friday just happens to be Friday the 13th and the night of a full moon. Scary right? There's no better thing to do on Friday evening than watch a movie and stay inside to avoid any bad luck!
Here are some great movies to check out on Friday the 13th.
"Stitches" (2012, Rated R) Many people are afraid of clowns, even though they do nice things and give treats to kids. But what about a clown that is angry and on a killing spree? That's exactly what Stitches the clown is. After an unfortunate prank at a birthday party kills Stitches, he comes back six years later to exact revenge on the pranksters. This independent film is available on Netflix.
"Scream" (1996, Rated R) The mainstream horror for the next generation. A masked killer goes around terrorizing teens. Try to figure out who is underneath the mask and the robe and be prepared to jump off the couch in terror!
"The Amityville Horror" (1979, Rated R) Based on a true story, two newlyweds move into a haunted home where murders took place. Can they survive? Will they find peace in the home? Check it out! The 2005 re-make is a quality attempt at this story, but watch the original first!
"The Shining" (1980, Rated R) Based on Steven King's novel, this horror flick is a scary one. A family heads to an isolated hotel for what they hope to be a peaceful weekend, but paranormal activity soon takes over. Be prepared for a scare!
"The Ring" (2002, Rated PG-13) A re-make of a Japanese classic, "The Ring" focuses on a videotape that will kill anyone who views it within one week. A young journalist is tasked with investigating the videotape and saving her son's life, as well as her own! Don't watch the tape, or you too could perish!
"Friday the 13th" (1980, Rated X) The classic movie that will have you looking over your shoulder for days! Camp counselors try to re-open a camp where a camper had drowned, But, a psycho killer stalks the counselors and is not happy they are there. "Friday the 13th" is a classic horror movie perfect for... Friday the 13th!
