Super Bowl is one of the most awaited events in the football league. It is so far the most popular sporting event in the United States. Amid the pandemic, which city deserves to host the Super Bowl?

The global pandemic has changed everything, including sports events. More major leagues are now adopting the "Bubble Center" as their game arena. Among the country's major leagues, the annual football's Super Bowl is the biggest so far.

The Super Bowl last time was held in Miami, Florida, where Latina stars and performers like Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performed during the halftime show.

In 2021, which city deserves to host the Super Bowl? Here are some of the cities that might host the event, according to a published report in MSN Sports:

1. San Diego

  • The last time that the city hosted the Super Bowl was 17 years ago. It was the time when Los Angeles dominated the game. This city deserves to have another Super Bowl event.

2. Tuscaloosa, Alabama

  • This is a great football town. The National Football League would have to share to everyone that the University of Alabama had its scrimmage every February. Moreover, they also have to tell that the players are paid in money and not in leased vehicles or no-show jobs.

3. London

  • London could be a good place for the next Super Bowl. People in this place do not specifically support any team. However, they both cheer and show no support as well if Jacksonville is involved in the game.

4. Kansas City

  • Kansas City has a classic NFL stadium, and the city's football team, the Kansas City Chiefs, has won Super Bowl IV. The audience will not only enjoy the game here but also the city's jazz music and barbecue. Additionally, it has more boulevards of any city than Paris.

5. Washington, D.C.

  • The nation's capital could be a great place for the next Super Bowl in February. It would be so special if the event happens in Washington, D.C. The president, whoever wins, may even love to attend the event if it happens in Washington.

6. Mexico City

  • In 2016, the NFL game in Estadio Azteca drew a crowd of more than 76,000. People here really love to watch American football. In fact, Mexico City has hosted two World Cups and its field is still in good shape to host the next Super Bowl.

7. Albuquerque, New Mexico

  • The NFL needs to expand its reach to the southwest just beyond Arizona. Fans here will also enjoy delicious chicken from Los Pollos Hermanos and visit the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History.

There are still many cities across the country which deserve to host the next Super Bowl. However, the event may not be the same as it used to be because of the global pandemic.

The next Super Bowl may still happen but probably with no audience anymore. It is likely there would be a virtual audience just like what other sports leagues did, such as the National Basketball Association (NBA).
