Pres. Donald Trump and his administration want to make sure that another stimulus package will be signed into law before the election.

But the prospect of sealing the deal is likely not to happen because the Democratic House Speaker extends the talk yet again.

Even though there is speculation that the multi-trillion stimulus package will receive resistance from the Republican lawmakers in the House of Senate, Pres. Trump assured that he will personally intervene and lobby the multi-trillion stimulus to his party.

Trump pushes Pelosi to come to an agreement

According to a published article in The New York Times, Trump wrote on his Twitter account: "Just don't see any way Nancy Pelosi and Cryin' Chuck Schumer will be willing to do what is right for our great American workers, or our wonderful USA itself, on Stimulus."

The post came after White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi both said that they continue to narrow their differences on a plan.

However, a spokesperson from Pelosi's office said that they are an inch closer to draft another round of stimulus package.

Even though there are rumors that Pelosi said that another relief aid will not be approved before the election, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said that he is still very optimistic that a deal will be sealed between the two parties.

Meadows also said that the talk between the U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Nancy Pelosi was making progress.

This could be a good sign that the two top stimulus negotiators have finally found their common ground.

It can be remembered that earlier this week, Pres. Trump urged Pelosi to approve the stimulus package offered while Pelosi set an ultimatum of 48 hours to offer a bigger amount.

This means that if there was progress in their negotiation and they are an inch closer to draft a new stimulus bill, it might be that the White House offered a bigger package. Trump has already said that he is open to approving an amount bigger than what Republicans and Democrats can offer.

Is fair negotiation off the table?

On the other hand, Meadows also said that some of the Republican lawmakers are now becoming more suspicious about Pelosi's interest to strike a deal before the election. He said that they are "starting to get to a point where they believe that she is not negotiating in a fair and equitable manner."

Meanwhile, Pelosi said in a separate interview from MSNBC that she is optimistic that there will be a bill before the election.

"It's a question of, is it in time to pay the November rent, which is my goal, or is it going to be shortly thereafter and retroactive," stated Pelosi.

Her latest statement raised again another question of her interest to strike a deal. Pelosi might be playing delaying tactics so that a stimulus bill will not be approved before the election.
