Rioter Who Punched Trump Supporter in Viral Video is Registered Child Sex Offender
Public records showed that a rioter arrested for punching a Trump supporter during the MAGA March is also a registered child sex offender.
The rioter was 39-year-old Kenneth Wayne Deberry and he was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department on Saturday for disorderly conduct.
The Trump supporter he punched was rendered unconscious and police said other suspects also "took his property."
According to an MPD press release, Deberry was involved in a "collaborative effort" to incite violence as Trump supporters held their demonstrations.
The rioter was arrested for inciting violence, aggravated assault, and felon after he was found in possession of a firearm, said the release. The MPD Sex Offender Registry also found that Deberry was a registered sex offender.
He was convicted in Washington, D.C. 12 years ago for a case of second degree child sexual abuse against a person under 16 years of age, reported Daily Caller. He was released from prison in January 2020, said Law Enforcement Today.
Three Other Rioters Arrested
MPD said Deberry was arrested with three other people during the MAGA March. The police said the incident with the Trump supporter occurred in the 1700 block of I Street, Northwest during demonstrations.
Daily Caller's Jorge Ventura identified Deberry as one of the people captured in a viral footage showing a man punching a Trump supporter.
In the video, a man with grey hair who was identified as a Trump supporter can be seen walking through the crowd. Then another man carrying a sign, later identified as Deberry, sucker punched him to the side of his face.
The victim falls to the ground as the attacker ran away. Two women were also seen kicking him with one clearly landing a kick to the back of his head.
Other protesters started to step in to help the bleeding Trump supporter after this.
Four suspects were arrested on the scene by responding officers.
The three others were Bobby Smalls, 29; Dashawna Gause, 28 and; Alexus Doris. All of them were also arrested for "inciting violence."
Smalls was found in possession of a knife, Gause allegedly carried a taser and Owens was arrested for simple assault.
MPD is still going to investigate on the case and is looking for other possible suspects in connection to the assault.
Peaceful MAGA March Turns Violent by Night
President Donald Trump was not pleased with the way things turned out in what he expected was going to be a peaceful protest in support of his call to "Stop the Steal."
He said the MAGA March crowd managed to "rebuff" radical left supporters, only for the group to come back when most of the crowd had left.
He added that the police did not come to the scene until it was too late and accused the D.C. Mayor for not doing her job.
The MAGA March was held with several groups in attendance.
It was done in protest of the results being reported by the media on the recently held elections, which they allege was riddled with voter fraud.
