Why Does James Harden Want Out of Houston?
Houston Rockets star player James Harden reportedly wants to transfer to another team, along with other players, including Russell Westbrook.
The National Basketball Association (NBA) has been very vocal in the past few months over their support of the "Black Lives Matter" movement.
Nothing is wrong with it because the majority of the players in the league are of African-American descent. Most of all, the association also believes that "All Lives Matter."
However, the recent election made the league more political rather than non-partisan. Some players vocally supported either the Republican or the Democratic party.
The only problem is it goes beyond their support to the party. Now, some players are requesting to be traded to other teams because of the party affiliation of their owner.
Harden, along with other players, wanted out of their team, according to a published report in TMZ. The main reason behind this is all because the team's owner is a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump.

The report came after a segment in the Fox Sports radio "The Odd Couple" this week when NBA insider Ric Bucher said that Tilman Fertitta's support for Trump had divided members of his team, and it created revolt within the ranks of Houston Rockets.
According to a published report in Daily Wire, Bucher said: "What I heard is, and we know how much politics and political position had to do with the boycott and protests during the Bubble - I'm hearing that Tilman Fertitta's strong Republican support and donations are one of the things that are contributing to this dissatisfaction."
It is an undeniable fact that Fertitta has long been supporting Trump, even before the recent election. Fertitta has met the president a couple of times on several occasions.
It can also be remembered that Fertitta commented on Trump's inauguration, saying that Trump's victory would be great for American businesses. Thus, the reason remains questionable why the players revolted over Fertitta's support for Trump, when in fact, everyone knows he supports the president ever since.
In a published report in CNBC, Fertitta noted that "taking so much power away from the government and putting it back in business is going to be great for American capitalism. And why is America great? One reason: American capitalism."
He also explained that there had been much regulation in all government aspects during former Barrack Obama's administration. At that time, Fertitta believed that deregulating the law implemented during Obama's administration would give an advantage to the oil business, the energy business, and the restaurant business.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that Westbrook has also requested to be traded like Harden. But it is still unclear if the requests of these Houston Rockets players will be granted.
