"Glee" fans everywhere will know that the popular show is currently in its sixth and final season. And today, we bring you some good news: A new face will be joining the cast, who out of excitement has already tweeted about his inclusion on the TV show. Ben Ferris, the latest actor to join the "Glee" cast, posted on Twitter about his new gig.

Ben Ferris, a musician from Atlanta, is the lead vocalist of his band which is called Cursed Sails. The band has just signed a contract with Velocity Records but opted to forgo their debut album this month in favor of joining Warped Tour this summer. Ferris's music is entirely different from what fans are accustomed to on "Glee," so it may be possible to expect a bit of a shock when he joins the cast.

Glee's viewership has actually declined since the last episodes of Season 5, although it has still maintained a relatively stable following. The episodes in the last season were also reduced from 22 down to just 20.

The final number of episodes for Season 6 is still unknown as of this time, though there were rumors that it would only have 10-12 episodes.

Jane Lynch has divulged that the Season 6 setting is in Lima: "We're all going to be coming back together in Ohio at McKinley," she said. She also confirmed that Lea Michele will have an entirely different role on Season 6, something which Michele already confided to David Letterman when she was a guest on his show. Although Jane did not elaborate much on the topic, she gave a hint by saying Michele will be in a familiar location but will be doing "something different."

There was also the notion of having the Rachel-led New Directions face Vocal Adrenaline, their old nemesis except that they will be under Mr. Schue and Blaine working as Mr. Schue's assistant, or perhaps another ND alumnus. Alex Newell will be included in some episodes as Unique, a transgender character. The final episode of "Glee" Season 6 will come in spring of 2015.
