Trump Wishes Speedy Recovery for Biden's Hairline Foot Fractures
President Donald Trump on Sunday wished for a speedy recovery to former vice president Joe Biden, 78, who suffered hairline foot fractures over the weekend.
In a quote tweet, Trump said "Get well soon!" to Biden along with a video of his Democratic rival leaving the orthopedic office in Delaware earlier in the day, reported New York Post.
According to a report from CNBC, Biden slipped and twisted his right ankle while playing with his dog Major on Saturday, leading to his foot fractures.
For over three weeks, the former vice president has been widely recognized by the media as the winner of the 2020 election, said The Hill in its report.
But Trump has refused to concede, instead filing lawsuits and claimed widespread voter fraud.
If these claims get ultimately denied in the courts, Biden will likely bring his two German Shepherds Major, 12, and Champ, 2, into the White House.
It has been a return to tradition after the Trump family did not bring a dog in the White House.
Initial Scans on Biden Did Not Show Obvious Fracture
Biden suffered a sprained right foot and initial x-rays did not any obvious fracture, said Dr. Kevin O'Connor.
O'Connor added that the hairline fractures could be seen on Biden's mid-foot in more detailed imaging.
"Initial x-rays did not show any obvious fracture, but his clinical exam warranted more detailed imaging," O'Connor said.
"Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden's lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot," he continued
His transition team told The Hill that Biden will have to wear an orthopedic walking boot for a few weeks to heal the fracture. This was also confirmed with his physician on Sunday.
Biden's Dog Major Could Be First Shelter Dog in White House
As New York Times said in its report earlier this month, Biden made it clear that he wanted pets back in the White House.

After having Champ for 10 years, the Bidens decided to take in Major through the Delaware Humane Association.
Champ was purchased from a breeder in Pennsylvania but Major is a shelter dog and may be making history as the first shelter dog to live in the White House.
The news was praised by many dog owners and animal adoption advocates.
Bidens Also Plan to Bring Cat to White House
People all knew that if Biden was certified winner of this year's election, he and his wife Jill Biden will surely bring dogs to the White House. But what people didn't expect was him bringing a cat as well.
According to a report from USA Today, the Bidens plan to bring a divided country together by bringing a cat.
There were no specifics provided on the new cat, but plans of the couple getting one were confirmed with CBS Sunday Morning.
The last cat to stay at the White House was George W. Bush's black cat named India, said People.
After over a decade, no other presidential family brought a cat to the White House but as it appears, the Bidens wanted to break this streak.
