Fact Check: Is Jeffrey Epstein Alive? Convicted Sex Offender Allegedly Spotted in New Mexico
Jeffrey Epstein was reportedly seen alive near his New Mexico ranch, a conspiracy theory claims.
A new YouTube video said Epstein may actually be alive and just faked his own death as he lives in New Mexico.
Epstein, 66, was found dead by hanging himself in his New York jail cell last year as he awaited trial on charges of sex trafficking children at his homes in Manhattan, Florida, the Virgin Islands and a New Mexico ranch.
But some still believe the man is alive and well.
The video, posted on October 11, showed a man in a red truck outside the New Mexico compound.
The narrator said that as the truck's driver stopped the vehicle, he rolled down the window and he had a "striking resemblance" of the deceased Epstein.
"Did Jeffrey Epstein kill himself? It may be possible that he has ridden off into the New Mexico sunset," the narrator continued.

The late sex offender did have a big ranch in New Mexico, known as the Zorro Ranch. It also appeared to be the same one as shown in the video.
The post has been flagged by Facebook as a falsehood in its effort to combat misinformation on its News Feed.
Epstein Plans to 'Seed the Human Race'
According to New York Times, Epstein had one goal in his string of abuses: to "seed the human race with his DNA by impregnating women at his vast New Mexico ranch."
Epstein talked to several scientists and businessmen about his plan to turn the ranch into some sort of "base" where he could have his babies.
But he wasn't known to have any children, reported The Sun.
Epstein pleaded "not guilty" to felony solicitation of prostitution in 2006 despite allegations of sexual abuse. He pleaded guilty for other charges, including procuring a minor for sex.

He was sentenced to 18 months in prison but was allowed work-release privileges that let him leave confinement on an almost daily basis.
Previous Facts Dispute 'Jeffery Epstein is Alive' Claim
As Crime Online noted, there were several previously reported facts to dispute the YouTube video.
Law enforcement confirmed on August 10 last year the Epstein did take his own life at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, where he was held without bail.
The death was tagged by Chief Medical Examiner Dr Barbara Sampson as a "suicide" on August 16, 2019.
His death sparked widespread anger since the sex offender managed to "cheat justice" and no one could be held accountable for his dehumanizing treatment of young girls.
But some also speculate that Epstein might have been killed by people who could be implicated in his crimes.
New York City's former chief medical examiner, Dr Michael Baden, disputed Sampson's evaluation and said the death was a "homicide."
He was hired the Epstein's family to observe his autopsy.
Whatever the true reason may be for the notorious criminal's death, there was no evidence to suggest that he was alive.
But Politifact also couldn't find information to corroborate the claim in the viral video.
