Known for her singing, acting, and dancing skills, Jennifer Lopez has made sure that she would be a household name for generations to come.

But aside from her entertaining performances, she is also popular for her dewy and glowing skin that comes better with age.

JLo recently made the headlines for claiming that she has never gotten Botox.

The beauty icon shut down rumors that her youthful appearance results from medical intervention, as she previously said in an interview.

However, she revealed that during the early stage of her career, an ex-boyfriend did urge her to try wrinkle-easing injections. She said that she was in her 20s when she was dating the ex-boyfriend.

"Basically, my dermatologist gave me a great cleanser and some sunscreen and said, 'If you do this from now on, your skin is healthy, you're young right now, it's going to be great," she said in a Page Six report. 

JLo and her ex-boyfriend had different dermatologist, and her former boyfriend's doctor had a different opinion.

Jennifer Lopez shared that the doctor said that they should start Botox, but she passed the opportunity.

JLo said that she wonders what would have happened to her if she did start Botox at 23, adding that her face would probably be different today.

Jennifer Lopez credited her flawless complexion to olive oil and constant SPF application.

She said one of the things that she would encourage everybody to do from the time they are 15-years-old is to wear sunscreen every day.

Lopez added that is a big skincare secret that a lot of people do not do.

JLo's New Skincare Line

With her supple and youthful skin, comes the release of her skincare line, as reported by We are Mitu.

Her new skincare line is called JLo Beauty and is set to be launched exclusively at jlobeauty.com on Jan. 1 and in Sephora stores on Jan. 14.

She made the announcement via an Instagram video that also gives her followers a look into the creation process.

JLo's new skincare line includes eight products. First is the Gel Cream Cleanser, followed by a Multitasking Serum, a sheet mask, a Wonder Cream, and a Broad Spectrum SPF 30 moisturizer.

Eye cream is also included in her new skincare line, together with a tinted moisturizer and an oral skin supplement. Lopez said that she was closely involved in the creation of all the skincare line items.

JLo said in an interview with People that they have been working on the products for the past three years, adding that they finally got them right now.

JLo noted that she thinks she put everybody a little bit crazy as she did not want to put her name on a product that does not work or is not exactly what she wanted to be.

JLo added that her skincare products underwent 100 rounds of product development before being satisfied with the results.

All of the products in her new skincare line were formulated with her most beloved ingredient, olive oil.
