Health and Government Officials to Get Vaccinated
In United States' fight against COVID-19, it is very important to boost the confidence and trust of millions of Americans and other residents in the country over the COVID-19 vaccine.
It is undeniable that many still doubt the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine following the reports of an allergic reaction.
According to POLITICO, Fauci, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins, and frontline health workers are scheduled to receive their first shot of vaccine on Tuesday morning.
The report said that health and government officials are going to get Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine.
The second shot will be given four weeks after the first shot. Alex Azar officially made the announcement on Monday afternoon through his social media account.
Moderna is the second biotechnology company that received emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drugs Administration.
Its vaccine is said to be 95 percent effective in protecting the person against the infectious and deadly COVID-19.
NIH Helped Moderna in Developing and Testing the Vaccine
The National Institutes of Health helped Moderna in developing and testing the COVID-19 vaccine, which became the first out of dozens of hopefuls to begin human trials this spring.
It is not a surprise anymore that they choose Moderna's vaccine among the rest due to its promising efficacy.

On the other hand, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is the country's top infectious disease expert, has been waiting for his turn to be vaccinated. He appeared on TV on Friday and said that he was ready to go and eager to get the vaccine as soon as possible.
Most of the government officials including President-elect Joe Biden appeared on TV when they get their vaccine.
