President Donald Trump spent Christmas in Florida while President-elect Joe Biden went back to his Delaware home.

With different leadership styles, it may no longer come as a surprise to many if Trump and Biden have different ways of spending Christmas. They also had different Christmas messages.

Here's how Trump and Biden chose to celebrate the holiday: 

Trump Hits The Links in Florida

Trump, 74, spent Christmas Day doing one of his favorite pastimes: golfing. He was spotted around 10 a.m. at the Trump International Golf Course in Palm Beach, Florida, where he spent the holiday.

Trump was with Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, his golfing partner, and closest congressional allies.

New York Post also noted that the president was sporting a pair of reading glasses, which he doesn't commonly wear, and his trademark "Make America Great Again" cap.

He also announced a virtual address for service members serving overseas.

"Going now to make a short speech to service members from all over the world," Trump tweeted in the afternoon. 

The Trumps Thank Frontline Workers in Video Message

Trump did not specifically mention the pandemic in a formal White House message. But he acknowledged that gatherings for this year were going to be different than before, reported NBC News.

He also sent his "warmest wishes" to Americans together with first lady Melania Trump.

"This Christmas, like every Christmas, is an opportunity for us to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and show our heartfelt gratitude for the abundant blessings God has bestowed upon our lives and country," the Trumps said.

The president also offered his thanks to frontline workers, including medical and military officials.

In a video posted on Christmas Eve, the Trumps addressed the pandemic at length and delivered the news about the vaccines being distributed to millions of Americans.

Trump vetoed a $74 billion defense bill and refused to sign COVID-19 relief and government funding worth $2.3 trillion before leaving Washington for the holidays.

It's unclear when the president will go back to the White House, but he may return as soon as New Year's Day.

Biden Skips Christmas Dinner with Family

Meanwhile, Biden, 78, was back where he spent most of 2020: his Wilmington, Delaware home, the unofficial headquarters for his transition to the White House, reported Wall Street Journal.

He spent the holidays with his wife, Jill Biden. His transition team called a lid at 9 a.m. that day, meaning he won't be making any Christmas Day travels.

Joe and Jill acknowledged that they would be spending the family alone and skipping their traditional Christmas Eve dinner.

Usually, they host the said meal for as many as 25 relatives. But with the pandemic and transition, all of that had to be canceled.

The Bidens' video showed the family's two German shepherds set to be the first dogs in the White House after former President Barack Obama's Portuguese water dogs, said a report from USA Today.

"We're going to miss our family, but it's what we need to do to keep our family safe," the former vice president said.

Biden also posted a video of his dogs Champ and Major having their own holiday celebrations.

Champ, the elder dog, relaxed under the Christmas tree surrounded by cozy pillows, while Major was seen running down the stairs and shaking toys in his mouth.
