New York Jets Head Coaching Candidates

The miserable season for New York Jets costs Adam Gase lost his job as the team's head coach. GM Joe Douglas is now working to look for a new head coach who can turn around a franchise that is sitting on a 10-year postseason drought which is one of the longest in the NFL.

According to Fan Sided, here are some of the potential head coaching candidates:

1. Arthur Smith

The New York Jets should look for a head coach who will help them have a good offensive plan or help improve Sam Darnold and develop the team's young quarterback. One of the best head coaching candidates that the New York Jets must consider is Arthur Smith.

Smith is known for developing players. He turned Tannehill into a strong quarterback after Miami dumped Tannehill for a pair of mid-round draft picks last year. This means that Smith could help New York Jets improve their quarterback players and have a good offensive plan.

2. Matt Campbell

Matt Campbell is the best head coach if the New York Jets is looking for a person who can be a true program builder.

It is no longer a surprise anymore if the New York Jets will hire him because there has been an influx of coaches who started a coaching career at the collegiate level.

Campbell is one of the best coaches in college football. When he got the job to head the Iowa State, he quickly turned the team become part of the Big 12 contender. That included a run to the Big 12 Championship Game this season, where Iowa State lost 27-21 but earned a bid to the Fiesta Bowl.

3. Joe Brady

Joe Brady is one of the best Offensive Coaches today. Brady got his big break as an offensive assistant under Sean Payton with the Saints before taking over as LSU's passing game coordinator in 2019. He then helped mold Joe Burrow, who had put up pedestrian stats in his college career, into a championship-winning star quarterback.

This caught the eye of Rhule, who hired Brady to be his offensive coordinator with the Panthers this season. Brady has done an excellent job putting together a dangerous offense with Teddy Bridgewater, Mike Davis, and a talented collection of pass catchers that includes former Jet, Robby Anderson.

4. Eric Bienemy

It is still not clear if the New York Jets will hire Bienemy because he does not have head coaching experience yet. However, Bienemy's work in aiding the development of Kansas City's elite offense will land him a top coaching job this season and he might even receive a call from the New York Jets.
