Jennifer Lopez Has Been an Outspoken Supporter of Joe Biden
Jenifer Lopez and her partner Alex Rodriguez have been very outspoken and showed their support to Joe Biden during the Presidential campaign. They talked about the impact of COVID-19 among the Latino community, the need to contain the virus, rebuild the economy, and unify the country.
In fact, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez joined Joe Biden's wife in an effort to encourage Latinos to vote across the country. Even though Joe Biden did not get the majority of the votes of the Latino community, still it cannot be denied that some states flipped to Democrats after Latino showed their support to Biden.
Jennifer Lopez told Joe Biden during a virtual chat on Oct. 16: "For me, it's unifying the nation again, you know, getting rid of this hate. Thinking about my kids walking around in a world where it's OK to be racist or prejudiced because our administration says it's OK - that, to me, is really sad because it's not the country that I believe that I grew up in."
Lopez also added that her kind of hope and quest is for the Latino community to start to understand their power. It can be recounted that the Latino community is the largest minority group in the country during the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.
Joe Biden also replied and wrote through his Twitter account, "Thank you for stepping up and speaking out. As Jennifer said: The Latino community has the power to determine the outcome of this election."
