A man allegedly killed his 25-year-old girlfriend and her mother before filming himself, screaming "I'm sorry," and turning the gun on himself during a standoff with SWAT in Dallas, Texas over the weekend.

Police have not yet released the identities of the victims. But they were identified on social media as Marietta Matthews and her mother, Tamiko Merriwether, 55, Daily Mail reported.

The suspect was allegedly Matthews' boyfriend, Nathan Rashad James. Dallas Police said that they have responded to an active shooter call in the 9800 block of Summerwood Circle on Sunday afternoon.

The 24-year-old suspect fired shots at the officers as they approached the apartment building, police said. It struck the police squad car, prompting the officers to back off, and called for SWAT Dallas.

Police said the SWAT Dallas made several attempts to get the suspect to surrender before entering the apartment at around 7 p.m. and saw two females and one male dead from gunshot wounds.

"Oh my God, bro. Oh my God. This s**t is crazy, dog. This s**t is crazy, dog. This shit is crazier than a motherf***ker dog," Nathan Rashad James said in his Instagram live video after shooting his girlfriend and her mother.

The Washington Time reported that the suspect was seen in the video panning the camera to Merriwether's body, who was still breathing then. She was seen slumped on the couch, covered in blood, as she gripped on her phone.

When Nathan Rashad James saw Merriwether was still alive, he told his viewers to "Call 911 again." He then walked over to his dead girlfriend's body on the ground as he called out to her, "Baby!"

The weapon was seen next to Merriwether's body as James continually shouted that he was sorry and had to protect his life. Nathan Rashad James even grabbed Matthews' face by her chin, and the clip showed the woman's left eye blasted out of her head.

Authorities said it does not appear that any officers discharged their weapons, nor were there any injured officers. According to the police, the mother and daughter died from gunshot wounds, and the suspect died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Matthews was identified as an alumna of the University of Central Missouri, according to an Instagram post. She and her mother were reported shot by a semi-automatic shotgun. A portion of the video appeared to show Nathan Rashad James holding the weapon as he walked around the room.

According to a Dallas News report, the police department's special investigations unit will do a follow-up investigation. Police Chief Eddie Garcia said on Twitter that he was praying for the victims, adding that his officers' bravery inspired him in responding to the said incident.

Dallas crime rates are reported to be 68 percent higher compared to the national average, while violent crimes in Dallas are 127 percent higher than the national average, according to an Area Vibes report.
