With a desire to connect or link the U.S. Foreign Policy to the Domestic Policy, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken broadcasts President Joe Biden's priorities when it comes to issues surrounding the current federal government.

USA Today reported that the current administration's policy is inclined to prevent "costly military interventions" and start a new course when it comes to global trade. With hopes for a better America, Economic Times added that the policy and plan also cover ending the COVID-19 pandemic, re-establishing America's global leadership, and renewing democracy.

Urgent US Foreign Policy

USA Today mentioned Anthony Blinken's words during his speech saying that "More than at any other time in my career - maybe in my lifetime - distinctions between domestic and foreign policy have simply fallen away." He added that coutry's domestic renewal and its strength in the world are "completely entwined."

Apart from the three aforementioned urgent US Foreign Policy, the Biden administration also aims to implement the development of the federal government's other domains for a better America. These are reviving the economy domestically and abroad, reforming immigration, which is currently on the move, rebuilding alliances, tackling climate change, securing the leadership of the United States when it comes to technology advancement, and confronting China.

It can be observed that some of the crucial policies are inclined with what the other members of the Biden Administration are aiming for or also sought. Gina Raimondo on her confirmation as the Secretary of Commerce has plans in confronting China and leveling the grounds between Americans and Chinese when it comes to business and labor opportunities.

Economic Times also noted that the Biden administration included the reparation of the detached ties of America with its Allies during the reign of the Trump administration, in their promise to fully drive and engage the nation with the global community once again.

Meanwhile, USA Today also shared Blinken saying that the United States must focus on injecting all Americans against the coronavirus, along with funding the efforts of vaccinating the globe.

"None of us will be fully safe until the majority of the world is immune," Blinken said.

"As long as the virus is replicating, it could mutate into new strains that find their way back to America," he added. 

Foreign Policy on Trade

Trade is one of the aspects the US Foreign Policy is taking a stand up and leveling it up for a better America. According to Yahoo! News, Blinken admitted that the previous foreign policy concerning this area has failed and that he and the other members of the current administration have accepted trade deals that directly affected America. Blinken added that the administration's approach will be much different when it comes to trade.

USA Today mentioned the words of Anthony Blinken during his speech in broadcasting the U.S. Foreign Policy, saying that the current administration will maximize every tool to stop the manipulation of currency and theft among other tactics, yet a detailed trade agenda was still not spelled out.
