Disney has announced that two of their parks located in California will soon be ready to welcome guests. Despite the good news of reopening their doors for children and adult guests, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic will still be felt on the park's premises.

Apart from 2 Disney parks in California, BBC News Disney has already opened their theme parks in other locations just like Florida and Beijing. However, these theme parks offered limited capacity. Disney Parks in Paris and Hong King have also reopened, but reports noted that they were issued once again for closure.

Disneyland noted that that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will reopen on April 20, 2021. Meanwhile, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa will reopen on April 29, 2021. There is still no available announcement of the schedule when Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen.

However, just like their parks in Florida and Beijing, the two scheduled Disney parks for the reopening will also limit their capacity of accepting guests. The park will also adhere to the government's guidelines and requirements, just like social distancing and wearing of masks.

The announcement of reopening Disney parks in California followed the California Attractions and Parks Associations (CAPA) plan to reopen the parks in the state.

The "135,000 people throughout the state" are the driving force of the association to reopen the parks in California. The workers are from "throughout the state at every socio-economic level," said CAPA adding that they wanted to help this number of people to resume and get back to work.

There are rules guests need to adhere to enter the said Disney parks. A park reservation and a valid admission (for both of the parks) on the same date will be assessed upon the entrance of guests for ages three and up. The reservation is subject to availability and is only offered with a limit.

"Select attractions and certain experiences that draw large group gatherings - such as parades and nighttime spectaculars - will return at a later date," said Disney on their website. In addition, meeting Disney characters in person will also not be available. The park devised new ways to entertain its guests utilizing the characters, but the company did not disclose the information.

Restrictions

It is given that Disney park will require masks, temperature screenings, and social distancing inside its premises. However, CAPA reiterated the proper designation of every precaution in its guidelines.

CAPA shared that masks should be worn at all times, and Amusements Parks must have designated eating and drinking areas to sustain this protocol. CAPA provided examples such as staff controls, recorder instructions, and appropriate barriers to adhere to the protocol to avoid interactions with other people. Moreover, activities that promote singing, heavy breathing, and shouting are not encouraged by CAPA.

Disney Parks in California are only welcoming in-state visitors as of the moment, which is following the directive of California.
